This is a bit unusual because I actually ran the marathon on Sunday 2nd October.  It was my first time running a marathon and it was the Glencoe Marathon.  This includes 1600metres of ascent and runs between the passes of Glencoe, Kinlochleven and Glen Nevis.  A few health issues led to a slow start but I managed to pick up time and finished in 7 hours.

I initially wasn’t going to fundraise but having started to helping out with packing at the Highland Support Refugees  depot in Dingwall, I’m only beginning to understand how big this crisis is. As the camps in Calais are being closed and with winter coming up, a lot more people are going to need aid for basic survival.

There has been an incredible amount of generosity across the highlands with people donating time to pack, knit, make up food parcels donate clothing, strip festivals of tents and sleeping bags, the list is endless but money is still needed to make sure that kit can be transported as soon as possible, and time is short.

If anyone would be able to sponsor me in retrospect it would be greatly appreciated.
